DCD participated in the FESSEF parade and display in Trinity College today. Well done to all especially the Irish Coast Guard for a wonderful mark of respect for a fallen colleague.
An Award was made to DCD last night from Barretstown for their assistance in the Dublin Mountain Challenge that raised over €135,000 for Barretstown.

Dermot Richardson paid a visit to the DCD Training Center in Belgard today to get an overview of the services that we provide to the Community. They also took part in some practical demonstrations put on by the Unit. Well done to the Belgard Class for putting on an excellent display.

DCD put on a terrific display in Blanchardstown Garda Station today. The open day was well attended with the Green Goddess and our Rescue boat being a great attraction for the kids. The drones also were a major hit with the visitors to the open day.
DCD provided 2 Rescue Boats for the Leinster Open Sea Swim race today.
Laois and Dublin CD volunteers built a swim platform on a lake in Stradbally estate for Electric Picnic. Great inter county team work with pontoons from Laois, Dublin, Carlow and Kerry.
Well done to Central AFS in raising €3047.00 for Laura Lynn Children's Charity. They did this by walking the Wicklow Way.

DCD members attended a two day rescue course over the weekend. To attend this programme they had to pass on a introduction rescue course. Feed back from the course has been very good.
DCD provided Water Rescue and Medical Cover for the Annual Sea Swim in Dun Laoghaire Harbour today. 3 rescue boats, 1 ambulance and medical team on duty.

DCD provided Rescue Boats for Ironman in Scotsman Bay, Sandycove. Five taken from the water and handed over to St Johns Ambulance. Well done to the St Johns Ambulance medical crew, great to sea both organizations working together. DCD also provided assistance to the Gardai. 46 DCD volunteers on duty and special thanks to Derek and Maura for providing breakfast.
